Christmas Morning

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, too! Here I am with Evangeline and Eliana on Christmas morning at our house. The girls are modeling their new winter hats. It was a fun-filled couple of days starting with having Hanukkah at our house on Christmas eve with my mom, sister Arlene and her husband, Bruce. Christmas morning we spent at home before heading over to my dad and stepmom's house for the traditional Mexican Christmas breakfast (now a brunch). Nothing beat tamales, beans, eggs, guac and my dad's homemade tortillas! The afternoon we spent with the rest of the family exchanging gifts, playing with the girls and having dinner.

I think I picked one of the worst times to try this out at home. It's the day after Christmas and Ellie is coming down with something and needs to go to sleep.

Bath time for Evangeline

Here are some pictures of our Eva-girl. She must have been about a year old. She's starting to smile like this around people now... a big change from our introverted baby. The rule before was "don't look at her". People would feel bad that she was left by herself in the stroller or on the floor, but when someone she didn't know well (basically, anyone other than her mama, papa or big sister) would look at her, she'd start to scream.

Ellie's First Dance Recital

We signed Ellie up for her first dance class. It was a combo ballet/tap/jazz. Not much jazz, however and if you ask Ellie, the don't even do jazz. She love it. She made a new friend, Lucy. And Ellie really likes teacher Kristen, who is very nice and makes the class fun for the girls. The students got to perform for their last class in front of the paretns and John and I were so proud of her.

So... here's my attempt to get a family blog site going. I'm starting with some older pictures. Let's see how it works.
